A Fall Recipe - by Sandra Gutierrez, a Shakti Teacher
In Fall the cold, dry, light qualities begin to increase and aggravate the Vata Dosha made of air and ether. Aggravation of Vata dosha increases gas, bloating, constipation, worry, anxiety, overwhelm, feeling ungrounded, inability to sleep, increased sensitivity to environmental disturbances. To pacify the qualities of vata we increase the warm, heavy and moist qualities in our foods. Warmth in temperature and warmth in spice :) Adding more unctuous and heavy foods.
